33rd Birthday!

I turned 33 on May 24th and my dad and Debbie happened to be in town.  Which is a good thing since Rob was in Iowa and I wasn't happy about that one!  My birthday fell on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and Eliza was already out of school.  So we grabbed water stuff and headed towards Denver to one of our favorite splash parks in Castle Pines, CO.  Unfortunately, we were a day too early for that one so we had to head to a backup plan of going to some fountains in Highlands Ranch.  The kids still had fun playing!

After the kids were nice and frozen (it was sunny but not too hot that day in late May) - we got them changed into warm and dry clothes and headed to my favorite place (Cafe Rio!) for dinner. Dinner was followed by a trip to Ikea where we checked in the older kids for the Kids Club while we walked around.  And then it was a quick stop to grab some cheesecake to go from the Cheesecake Factory (another favorite!).  It was a great day with some of my favorite people!  And my oldest gave me all the money in her piggy bank so I could go and buy a present.  Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?!

Spring Day at the Zoo

I knew our Cheyenne Mountain Zoo passes were going to expire in June and so we took advantage of a sunny day in May to go and see the new Out of Africa exhibit at one of our favorite places.  We even got free passes to ride the kiddie train which made my girls happy!

Last Day of School 2012-13

I managed to remember to take pictures of Eliza on her last day of Kindergarten.  It is amazing to see how much the kids change in just 9 months!

Spring Carnival

We live really close to the Focus on the Family visitor center.  In addition to their amazing and free play area, they often host free and fun family events.  One Saturday in May, they had a little carnival type event with a petting zoo, face painting, and bouncy houses and slides that we went and enjoyed.

End of the School Year Concert

At the end of Kindergarten, Eliza's class performed all the songs that they had earned throughout the year for the parents. Eliza would not smile or look at me during the concert.  Afterwards, the kids gave us some Mother's Day presents that they had made for us.   Eliza dressed up for the day and Chloe wanted to join in.

Art Fair

Eliza's school has an art fair each year where the students submit their favorite piece.  Then they judge the art and line up all of it along the walls of the school and invite the families to come and see it and have some treats.  Eliza was very proud of her artwork:

Asher's 1 Year Cake Smash Photo Shoot

I am only 6 months behind on blogging so I'm going to just start attempting to play catch up!  My good friend Grace took pictures of Asher and did a cake smash session as well to mark his first year of life.  Asher was in the middle of teething his 5th, 6th, and 7th and 8th tooth at the time so he wasn't as happy as I wanted him to be - but she still managed to capture some adorable shots of my sweet little boy!
